Dr. Phil Schubert will be our guest preacher Sunday August 15 and just eight days later, on Monday, August 23 will be inaugurated the 11th president of Abilene Christian University.
He has served as executive vice president at ACU as well as many other roles during his 17 years on campus. Prior to coming to ACU, he worked for the accounting firm of Arthur Andersen & Co. He received his B.B.A. in accounting from ACU, an M.B.A. from Duke University and an Ed.D. in higher education management from the University of Pennsylvania.
An active member of the Southern Hills Church of Christ, he enjoys golf, outdoor exercise and coaching youth sports. Phil and his wife, Jamie, have been married for 17 years. They have three children: Sydnie, Mason and Ella.
