Grace and Gratitude: What we learn of God and each other in Hebrews

Hebrews is a sermon with a single, theological argument woven together from beginning to end. We have a Great High Priest, the Author and Pioneer of our faith, who has gone before us to prepare the way for our salvation and participation in God’s kingdom. Though this life is hard and wearisome, the preacher reminds us to consider Jesus “who endured opposition from sinful people” and overcame the cruelties of the cross. So, in view of our Mediator and Sanctifier, we too should not “grow weary and lose heart.” Instead, we are encouraged by the preacher to “take a new grip” with our weary hands and weak knees and be strengthened in spirit by the life, death, resurrection, and exaltation of King Jesus. You are invited to join us for this eight week series in Hebrews as we learn about God’s grace and how we can embody that grace through grateful lives.
