Come join us Wednesdays at 7:00 pm in the chapel for VIEW: It’s praise, worship, and prayer that will carry you through the week. Here’s a few comments from those who make a spot in their week to come to VIEW. "It’s so great. If I would have known you guys were doing this I would have been coming a long time ago."; "I never listened to Christian music before I came to VIEW.  Source  Power Source: Ladies of all ages are invited to a monthly Bible Study called Power Source where we focus on building a relationship with our powerful God as real women in real life. The study is usually on the first Monday of each month, however, our next study will be Tuesday, September 7th from 8-9 pm due to the Labor Day holiday. Threads of Love: Threads of Love – a joint ministry of Altamesa Church of Christ and Southwest Christian Church reaching out to staff and parents with infants in the NICU of area hospitals. If you can make cards/labels, sort items, deliver to hospitals, sew, knit or crochet and want to make a difference in the lives of these precious tiny infants, their parents and caregivers, come to our meeting on Wednesday, September 8th at 5:30 pm in the Adult 2 classroom. Israel Trip: Information meeting for those interested in going to Israel in June 2011 is Wednesday, September 8th. Detailed trip itineraries will be distributed and there will be plenty of time for Q & A. This will be the trip of a lifetime with stops in Jerusalem, Galilee, The Dead Sea, Bethlehem, Masada, Nazareth and many more Holy Land destinations. Join us for VIEW @ 7:00 then stay for the meeting Wednesday @ 8:00 pm in First Cup Café.

ARK School: The ARK Preschool starts Wednesday, September 8th. We know the importance of your child’s development and we consider it a privilege to share these special years with you. Classes will meet Monday and Wednesday, 9:00 am - 2:00 pm. Fun Friday is optional and will be held once a month from 9:00 am.- 2:00 pm for an additional fee. ICE CREAM SOCIAL: You scream, I scream, we all scream for Ice Cream! Dust off your ice cream makers and get out your best recipe because our ice cream social is coming on Sunday, September 12th. Sign Language Class: A Sign Language class will be offered beginning Monday, September 13th.  We will meet from 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm in the Adult 2 classroom. We will focus on conversational and religious signs only. All are welcome to attend. Contact Karen Allen if you have any questions.

Ladies Bible Class: Ladies Bible Class will begin on Tuesday, September 14th. This will be a great time of fellowship and study of God’s word with other women at Altamesa. We will begin this year with a series led by our own Jan Jones titled  “Water From the Wells of Salvation: Lessons From Isaiah”.Come join us at 9:45 in the First Cup Cafe for coffee and fellowship. FAITH LAUNCH - It Begins At Home!: The countdown has begun for Hand in Hand “Mommies Only” Night Out!  Lift off is Thursday, September 23rd, from 7-9 in the fellowship hall.  All expecting mommies and those with children birth through 1st grade are invited to be on board. Our flight plan will include dinner, exploration (discovering truth together), and re-entry (promptly at 9 pm). Our goal is to encourage and help you with Splashdown (real life at home!). What is a Journey Group?
Journey groups are our groups of 15-17 people that meet weekly for 10-12 weeks starting in October.

How do I sign up?
At any Worship service, write the “JG#” of the group that interests you on your connection card under the box that says “Your Age Group”, OR by going to the church website.

What is a “JG#” and where do I find it?
 A “JG#” is the number associated with each of our groups scheduled for the Fall Semester. You can find the number in the Journey Group catalog that is available at every worship service and on the church website.
